Illustrator
Kimberly Battista has been a freelance medical and scientific illustrator for 25+ years. She is excited to engage her experience creating illustrations for textbook and editorial publications into the classrooms of Gear-up. “I believe a picture is worth 1000 words”; by adding a visual component, we can excite the teaching aspect of how things work in the systems and components of the carts.
Kimberly is on two other non-profit Boards of Trustees, which interestingly, are also an intersection of her career: one is in environmental (https://www.bluewaterbaltimore.org) and the other an arts organization (http://www.creativealliance.org)- she is passionate about each of them!
